Hi there, I'm Katie. You can find me over on my blog, Punk Projects, and my Etsy Shop.
Justine is letting me guest post today, so I thought I would share this fun DIY with you guys! I don't know about you, but the first thing I check when I get on my computer is my facebook. So, I thought it would be neat to make a facebook rubber stamp. Enjoy--

Tools and Supplies: Carving Block or Big Eraser, Craft Knife or Carving Tool, Ink.
1. Sketch out your design onto your carving block. I googled a "facebook like hand" just to make sure I knew what it looked like.
2. Using your Carving Tool or Craft Knife (I didn't have a tool, so I just used my craft knife. It's a little harder, but definitely possible- just don't cut yourself!) Start cutting away everything you don't want.
3. Keep carving away until you get a stamp.
Note to self: If you have words on your stamps, Carve them backwards. Otherwise, when you stamp it they end up backwards. like this--
This was my second attempt. Haha. Much better, right?
Thanks for letting me guest post Justine!

ReplyDeleteI carved a question mark backwards TWICE. Yes, the 2nd attempt I got it backwards as well! duh. It was only on the third attempt that I got it right.
